Our community guidelines exist to make sure that all Organise network members act in accordance with that vision. If you don’t follow the guidelines, you may find your posts deleted and/or your account disabled. Please do your part to keep the Organise network powerful!

🤗 We take care of each other

Our mission at Organise is to give people the tools, the network and the confidence to make change happen at work. Our network is a space for us to build each other up - not tear each other down. Please always be kind, respectful, and supportive to your fellow Organise members. If you bully or harass someone on Organise, your account will be suspended.

🔥 We’re action-oriented

Organise is a community built around a shared vision that better work is possible if we collectively act to make it better. The Organise network provides a space for discussion - but unlike other online networks, the goal of discussion on Organise is real-world action that changes our working lives for the better. Keep this in mind when you’re chatting to your fellow Organise members - if you all agree something needs to change, then what’s the next step to making this happen?

If you’re not sure, you can always email action@organise.network and one of our Campaign Coaches will be on hand to help you win the change you want to see at work.

💫 We’re respectful & inclusive

The Organise network is an inclusive space. Our members respect each other’s differences and always aim to find common ground with each other rather than draw battle lines between one another. It takes courage to try to change something at your work. So please treat fellow Organise members’ posts and comments with respect, and if you disagree - disagree respectfully and empathetically.

We’re building an online discussion space that’s different - please support this vision by being kind and considerate to your peers, and remembering that behind each comment sits a real person with real feelings. If you do not follow these principles of good discussion, your account may be suspended or removed depending on the severity of your behaviour.

😎 We keep each other - and ourselves - safe

The internet is an open, worldwide forum - that’s what makes it great, but it can also be what makes it dangerous if we’re not careful! Please don’t post any personal identifying information like your phone number, address, photos of your ID, etc. on Organise - and if you think you recognise another worker from their comments, please do your part to keep their identity safe, too. Our community moderators will delete posts containing people’s phone numbers and addresses whenever we see them, but the safest strategy is to not post personal information to begin with. So please don’t reveal any information that could put you or others at risk.

Our staff team can moderate what happens on Organise - but we can’t control what happens outside of our network. So please be careful about sharing external details with other Organise members - we can’t keep you safe once you’ve left the walls of this community, and we care about your safety.

We also don’t tolerate any posts on Organise that might trigger self-harming, suicidal, or violent behaviours. Any post that might trigger such behaviour will be removed from the platform, and your account will be suspended.

🤠 We keep it clean

Workplace issues can be frustrating sometimes - we know! But swearing or insulting other people doesn’t help, so we don’t tolerate vulgar or abusive language in our network. We also don’t tolerate sexually explicit posts, nudity, or requests for dating - we’re all here to make work better, so let’s focus on the task at hand. Any violent or sexually explicit posts, OR posts condoning criminal or illegal acts, will be removed - and your account will be suspended. Sexist, racist, ableist, homophobic or transphobic posts are not tolerated and will be removed.

😊 We look after our community

Our staff team is always hard at work trying to keep our network safe, positive, happy and supportive. But our network is always growing, and it can be hard to keep on top of it all.Like with everything else we do at Organise, there’s power in numbers - so please help look after the Organise community by flagging or reporting any posts that don’t meet our community guidelines. We’re working on building digital tools to allow you to do this quickly - but in the meantime, please reach out to action@organise.network if you see anything on Organise that shouldn’t be there.

The Organise network is not a crisis service, labour union, or professional advice provider, and we cannot offer the types of support provided by those institutions. In some situations, it is critical that you seek professional support outside of the Organise network to tackle the issues you are dealing with.

If you are facing an issue that requires an immediate response, please consider reaching out in person to an emergency support provider in your area. This could be your local legal clinic, labour union, health centre, or if you are currently experiencing an acute personal crisis please reach out to one of the numbers on this list.

Together we're making Organise the best place in the world for people to connect and improve their lives at work.

Thanks again for all that you do,

The Organise staff team 💞

TESTIMONIALS

Here's what our members say about taking action on Organise

"It gives me a chance to make a difference, also hope in a time when things are very difficult. Organise meant we could connect with others who had also been told to 'retrain in cyber' - now I can keep doing the job I love."

Organise member #419312

"As a disabled person I find the idea of going on a protest difficult but I still like to be kept informed on issues I could help wit and be able to influence decision makers by emailing, signing petition and answering polls where I can."
